Hello there,

A new year always arrives with quiet promise, but this one feels especially electric for the Sisterhood Sleuths. As we step into it, we do so with gratitude, wonder, and an open heart for all that lies ahead.

Just one year ago, everything began in the most unexpected way. I woke up from a dream with a story so vivid it refused to be ignored. That dream became The Obsidian Eye… and from that moment on, the Sisterhood Sleuths were born. What followed has been nothing short of extraordinary. In one whirlwind year, the series grew from a single idea into a global movement…books published, translated, shared, discussed, and embraced by readers around the world. It has truly been one heck of a year.

This January marks another exciting milestone: an article about the Sisterhood Sleuths will be featured in LA Weekly, shining a light on the heart behind the stories and the mission that fuels them. At the same time, our Sisterhood Sleuths Outreach Program continues to open doors worldwide. Schools, youth groups, libraries, and community organizations across the globe are discovering how storytelling can become a powerful tool for teaching confidence, resilience, empathy, and courage. Watching this program grow freely offered from the heart, has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Global book clubs have also embraced the series, bringing readers together across cultures and continents. There is something profoundly beautiful about young people from different parts of the world discussing the same story, learning the same lessons, and realizing how much they share.

At the center of it all is the Sisterhood Sleuths themselves. Each character brings something unique and powerful to the team; curiosity, bravery, intelligence, intuition, loyalty, and compassion. They support one another, challenge each other, and prove that no one has to face life’s mysteries alone. Together, they show readers that differences are strengths and that teamwork makes the impossible possible.

Helping children understand life lessons through storytelling is a gift beyond words. Stories create safe spaces for big ideas; trust, courage, truth, friendship to take root and grow. To be living my dream of helping kids worldwide through these stories is the greatest privilege I could imagine.

And the adventure is only just beginning.

This year, I am diving into not one, but two new books at the same time, Whispers in the Catacombs (Italy) and The Louvre Enigma (France). Readers will be taken deeper into hidden tunnels, ancient secrets, and breathtaking mysteries. Along the way, I’ll be introducing two new characters, Alex and Zac, a pair of adventurous 16-year-olds whose courage and curiosity lead them into unforgettable and sometimes dangerous escapades. They happen to be my grandsons.

This new year is filled with hope, discovery, and boundless possibilities. The Sisterhood Sleuths’ journey continues to grow beyond anything I ever imagined, and I cannot wait to share what comes next.

Here’s to a year of wonder, bravery, and uncovering truth together.

The Sisterhood Sleuths Global Empowerment Program

The Sisterhood Sleuths Outreach Program extends the spirit of mystery, courage, and discovery beyond the page and into classrooms, libraries, and youth groups around the world free of charge. We have decided to open it to parents who would like their children to enjoy the adventures along with The Obsidian Eye. Designed for students ages 10 and up, the program offers a 30‑chapter, adventure‑based curriculum that blends storytelling with critical thinking, creative problem‑solving, and meaningful discussion.

Through puzzles, guided conversations, writing activities, and real‑world themes like leadership, resilience, and empathy, young readers don’t just read the story; they live it. The program is available globally and can be adapted for diverse learning environments, helping students everywhere discover their own inner sleuth.

Bring the Adventure to Your School or Community

Educators, librarians, and youth leaders are invited to explore the program and bring this immersive learning experience to their students.
